Making payments
Each term's coaching fees must be paid to the club via the British Cycling online payment system. This ensures that your child's club membership does not expire and their place is secured for the following term.
The current termly fees for each branch are:
Bigfoot Balance Bikes - £29
Bigfoot Mini and Mini Plus - £29
Bigfoot Junior - £44
Bigfoot Youth - £69
Affiliate member - £4
All payments have a £1 administration charge added by British Cycling.
Please do not pay coaching fees by bank transfer as this will lead to delays in renewing your child's membership.
You will receive an email a few weeks before the start of each term providing details of how to make the payment.
There are also two step-by-step guides that you can download below, to help you set up and access your child's British Cycling account.
If you have any general questions relating to fees or payments please email payments@bigfootyouth.cc.
Terms and conditions for club membership and payments
Bigfoot Youth CC does not charge an annual membership fee, instead our membership is based on school terms, and we charge for coaching services each term.
Your child must be a member of British Cycling in order to take part in our coaching activities. If you are not a current British Cycling member we will not accept your payment for coaching services (see note below regarding new members who are yet to join British Cycling).
Coaching fees are payable each term, in advance.
Payment of coaching fees entitles your child to a place on Bigfoot Youth CC club coaching activities for one term.
If coaching fees are unpaid one month after first session of the term we reserve the right to terminate your child's club membership, and allocate their place to someone else on the waiting list.
A payment demand for coaching fees will be sent out via email from the British Cycling membership system a few weeks before the start of each term. It is your responsibility to keep your contact email address up to date on the British Cycling membership system. If you don't receive a payment demand by the start of the term you must inform us by contacting payments@bigfootyouth.cc.
If your child no longer wishes to be a member of Bigfoot Youth CC then it is very helpful if you can let us know as soon as you receive the next term's payment demand - that we we can offer their place to another young rider in time for the start of the next term.
If you are offered a free place (through our volunteers policy, sibling policy or through our Grassroots assisted places scheme) your club membership will be for one school year, and you will be required to confirm your status at the start of each school year.
Arrangements for new and prospective members
If your child is a new member we will allow them to attend a limited number of trial sessions before committing to joining British Cycling. It is your responsibility to obtain British Cycling membership for your child, and until you have done this you will not be able to pay their coaching fees and they will not be a confirmed member of Bigfoot Youth CC. You can find out how to join British Cycling in the information sheet below, and at the time of writing the first year's British Cycling membership is free of charge.
Making payments by bank transfer
In some cases we may ask you to make a payment by electronic bank transfer. This can include payments for part of a term, arrears payments, kit sales and bike leasing and purchase.
Our bank details are as follows:
Bank: Unity Trust Bank
Account name: Bigfoot Youth Cycle Club Ltd
Sort Code: 60-83-01
Account No: 20399623
Ref: Child's name
When you make an electronic payment please send an email to payments@bigfootyouth.cc, stating:
your child's name
the amount paid
which club section they attend (Mini, Junior or Youth)
what the payment is for.
Please do not pay full term coaching fees by bank transfer as this means we have to manually enter the payment details against your child's membership record. This creates additional work for our volunteers and increases the possibility of delays and errors.
