Jack Petchey Achievement Awards

Bigfoot Youth is proud to be part of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme. The scheme, funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation, is a reward and recognition initiative which enables schools and youth organisations to celebrate the achievements of their young people as well as receive additional funding.

We have three opportunities to recognise and award one of our young riders each year. Youth CC members have opportunity to vote for one of their peers, who can only receive the award once. These ‘Young Achievers’ will have shown qualities demonstrating high aspirations, determination, self sufficiency, positivity and community spirit.

As well as a framed certificate to commemorate their achievement, the winner receives £250 to be spent on a something of their choice that will benefit Bigfoot Youth CC. For example, this could be a piece of equipment, a cycling activity for the club, or a specialist trainer to come in to give a session.

Listed below are the Bigfoot Youth CC members who have won the award in the past, and what their award has been spent on.
