Resumption of coaching sessions - the Government roadmap

posted 22 Feb 2021, 16:16 by Phil Shemmings   [ updated 22 Feb 2021, 16:18 ]
You will be aware that the Government today announced its "roadmap" for easing lockdown restrictions. Full details are here.

The guidance states that from 29 March (the start of the Easter school holidays) "formally organised outdoor sports – for adults and under 18s - can also restart and will not be subject to the gatherings limits, but should be compliant with guidance issued by national governing bodies."

We are awaiting confirmation of any specific arrangements from British Cycling, but our current assumption is that we will resume coaching activities at the start of the Summer term, after the Easter holidays.

Our first sessions will therefore be:

  • Youth at Croydon Arena - Monday 19 April
  • Youth at Bromley College - Thursday 22 April
  • Mini, Mini Plus and Junior at Hayes School - Saturday 24 April

We will continue to require places to be pre-booked as there is limited capacity. We will publicise booking arrangements nearer the time.

These dates are subject to confirmation and may be amended.
