La Pre-Paris - 23rd to 24th July 2016

posted 21 Feb 2016, 12:51 by Bigfoot Go-Ride
The next big adventure for Bigfoot Youth! What is all this about?
Well as a club we have a long-term aim one day to ride London to Paris, but we are not quite there yet (but if anyone fancies helping to organise it please see Adam!) So this ride is in preparation for that...
So what better way to prepare for riding to Paris, than by riding in completely the opposite direction?!

And why should the off-roaders be the only ones with an overnight stay at a Scout Camp? (this one I am told does big camp fires on Saturday nights!)

Fancy riding in new scenery? (keeping to quiet roads as much as possible)

Fancy riding to the seaside? (and indeed you can add on a few days there if you want)

If you can comfortably ride to Brighton in a day, here is the next challenge! 67 miles on day one followed by 67 miles on day two! (If you were riding to Paris you would need to do four days like that!)
This two day ride is being held on 23rd and 24th July, which should be the first weekend after school breaks up.
Saturday – Harlow to Colchester - route:
(Harlow is 1hr by car from Hayes or access via rail)
Sunday – Colchester to Dunwich – route:
(Dunwich, the famed destination of the 120mile Dunwich Dynamo overnight ride)
At the end of the ride you end up in a lovely part of the country, a stone's throw from the lovely seaside town of Southwold and seaside village of Walberswick.
Please catch Adam at the club if you would like a chat about this.
We need to see what the level of interest is (as usual first come first served!) – to register your interest click here:
