UPDATE 04/11/20: British Cycling has confirmed that the new national Covid restrictions mean that we must suspend all club coaching activities and events until Thursday 3 December.

Covid-19 guidelines and action plan

Bigfoot Youth is resuming coaching sessions following a long break during lockdown. We have assessed our activities and venues alongside official guidance issued by British Cycling (which can be downloaded below) and Sport England.

In the documents below we set out our guidelines to ensure the safe delivery of our activities.

The aim of this guidance is to keep us all safe from the transmission of Covid-19 and we ask all our riders, parents and volunteers to respect and positively engage with the requirements set out in this document. We recognise that this is a new situation for all of us, and we are keen to refine our approach as new guidance is issued, and in response to suggestions from riders, parents and volunteers. These documents will be updated to reflect any such changes.

Pre-registration for coaching sessions

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, pre-registration is required for all Mini, Junior and Youth coaching sessions. There is limited capacity at all sessions due to social distancing requirements.

You can pre-register for coaching sessions on the British Cycling website:

We are only opening up the sessions one week at a time, and we aim to open the pre-registration each weekend for the following week's sessions.

We won't be sending a reminder email each week, so please check the link above to book forthcoming sessions.

Sessions are free of charge this term, but numbers are strictly limited, and pre-registration is required. You must be a club member with up-to-date British Cycling membership to book a place.

If you have not booked please do not turn up on the day as unfortunately you will not be allowed to take part.

Registration for each session will close the evening before the session to allow us time to prepare our attendance registers.

Cancelling your pre-registration

If you have pre-registered a place at a coaching session but can no longer attend, please remember to cancel your registration to free up the place for another club member. Follow these simple steps:

2. Find the session you can no longer attend. If you are booked on the session and logged into your child's British Cycling account it will say "I'm In" next to the session.

3.To cancel your registration, click on the X next to "I'm in", then click CONFIRM on the dialogue box. You will receive a confirmation email.
